Church Street House in Dwell

The Church Street House is featured in Dwell: "We decided to amp up the midcentury Hawaiian aspects of it with wood and by keeping the roofline." Bestor and her team inserted a hemlock-clad insulated envelope beneath the roof to create warm, vaulted ceilings in the living area and primary bedroom. They rebuilt the fireplace to add structural support, and surfaced it in tile.
